Unidos en Prevencíon y Salud

An underage alcohol prevention program based out of Luz Social Services.

 Unidos en Prevencion y Salud is an underage alcohol prevention program based out of Luz-Guerrero Early College and funded by the U.S. Department of Education. The program uses the Sembrando Salud Curriculum which is implemented into the health classes at Luz-Guererro Early College, Desert View High School, and Sunnyside High School. Another part of Unidos en Prevencion y Salud is the Youth Alcohol Prevention Committee (YAPC) which consists of students from the schools where the program is located and focuses on encouraging peers to make healthy choices. The students that are part of the committee work on tasks such as a monthly newsletter and are currently coming up with ideas for the webpage and an underage alcohol prevention video.
